Refurbishment

  • • Ideal domestic Impact and Airborne sound insulation product where height is restricted
  • • Easily cut, trimmed and shaped for fast installation
  • • Impactalay Matting can be loose laid with taped joints and fully bonded to the sub-floor. Carpets and Engineered Wood floor overlays can be laid directly on top. Gripper Edging Strips are required with carpet installations to raise and support the carpet gripper strips

Sound Stop Pads

ACOUSTIC CEILING PADS FOR SUSPENDED CEILINGS


The Products

JCW Sound Stop Acoustic Pads are an easy to install sound blocking pad designed to be laid on top of suspended ceiling grid tiles. Suspended ceilings are often common to offices/rooms separated by walls constructed beneath the ceiling grid allowing sound to penetrate the ceiling tiles and easily transfer between adjoining offices/rooms. Unfortunately in most situations due to the installation of services above the suspended ceiling it is not possible to extend internal walls up to the structural floor/ceiling above or even install a JCW Acoustic Flexible Barrier Curtain. The answer is the installation of JCW Sound Stop Acoustic Pads that simply sit on top of the existing ceiling tiles.

The JCW Sound Stop Pads incorporate 2 layers of non-flammable sound absorbing acoustic mineral wool with a mineral loaded sound barrier mat core layer that is encapsulated within an aluminised, non-flammable Class 0 foil. The additional weight of the JCW Sound Stop Pads should not present a problem as to the stability of the ceiling.

Ideal for acoustic insulation under a wide range of floor coverings

DAMTEC® color G is grinded on one side and with its special selection of raw materials excellent below linoleum and PVC flooring. Its plasticizer-free formulation, which prevents softener migration and floor finish discoloration, as well as its grinded surface eliminate the need for a separating layer between the underlay and the floor covering.

With its mixture from natural raw materials – rubber and cork –  DAMTEC® color G is an excellent insulating underlay for floors in residential and other buildings. DAMTEC® color without grinded surface is also suitable under parquetry and laminate floors as well as under textile floors.

FONOSTOP DUO

FONOSTOP DUO is an acoustic insulation product against foot-traffic noise for floors laid on floating screeds. It consists of a 1.5 mm thick phono-resilient foil, coupled to a nonwoven elastic fabric in polyester fibre, with a thickness of 6.5 mm. This highly efficient acoustic insulation against foot traffic noise is made up of the waterproofing and air tight phono-resistant foil lined with a film of polypropylene fibres coupled to a non woven fabric. The insulation is produced in 10×1.05 m rolls and is provided with a 5 cm overlap fin without any non-woven polyester fabric.

FONOSTOP DUO consists of resistant elastic synthetic fibres which do not split and are not crushed when they are bent or compressed, as in the case of mineral fibres. FONOSTOP DUO, although it is a thin light insulating material, unlike sheets of plastic foam material, does not move when the screed is spread. This is thanks to the ‘Velcro effect’ of the lower face which prevents it from moving, thus preventing “acoustic bridges” which could frustrate the insulating operations.
